Adopt a Rock

We invite you to take part in a unique opportunity to support the Grand Rapids Curling Club! With a donation of $500, you can "adopt" one of our curling stones by sponsoring a personalized message on the handle of a rock. This is a fantastic way for members, friends, organizations, or businesses to support the club while being recognized on-ice every time the rock is used.

The Grand Rapids Curling Club has three sets of rocks, with 16 stones per set, making a total of 48 rock handles available. Adoption is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Each rock is equipped with a detachable handle, which will be inscribed with a personal or memorial message of your choice.

Eligibility

Pricing

$500 - Single Rock
$800 - Two Rocks
$1,000 - Three Rocks
$1,150 - Four Rocks

You can adopt up to four rocks with a one-time donation. Discounts for multiple rocks apply only to a single transaction and cannot be carried over to future donations. Please note, all donations are non-refundable. The Grand Rapids Curling Club is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donations are tax-deductible.

Terms of Adoption

Your adoption is valid for the lifespan of the rock, typically ranging from 10 to 20 years. While sponsoring a rock doesn't grant ownership of the stone, all rocks remain the property of the Grand Rapids Curling Club. If your adopted rock is replaced, your sponsored handle will be mounted for permanent display at the clubhouse. Should a handle break due to normal wear and tear, we will replace it, along with its inscription, at no cost.

Inscription

You may include up to two lines of text (18 characters per line) on the handle. All inscription content is subject to approval by the GRCC Board of Directors, who may request modifications if necessary. The style of the inscription is at the discretion of the club. While we aim to complete the inscription promptly, it may be scheduled during the off-season when the rocks are not in use. Inscription processing typically takes 6 to 8 weeks.

Selecting a Rock

Rock selection is first-come, first-served. You can choose the handle color (red or yellow), the sheet, and the rock number (16 rocks per sheet).
